Tokutei Ginou (TG) / Specified Skilled Workers (SSW)
Tokutei Ginou (TG) also known as 特定技能 is a type of work visa issued by the Japanese government since 2019 to facilitate the recruitment of foreign workers with special skills in certain industrial sectors that experience labor shortages in cooperation with several developing countries, one of them is Indonesia. The industrial sector consists of 12 types, namely :
- Nursing
- Building cleaning management
- Material Casting
- Manufacturing of construction machinery
- Information, electrical and electronic industry
- Construction
- Shipbuilding
- Car Maintenance
- Aviation
- Accommodation business
- Agriculture

Advantages of Tokutei Ginou / SSW Visa
Have you heard of the Intern Program in Japan 技能実習生 (Romaji : Ginou Jisshusei), Ginou Jisshusei is a visa for apprenticeship by provides opportunities for foreign apprentices to improve their technical skills and productivity while in Japan as well as improve their Japanese language skills. With this visa program, the Japanese government hopes to increase the country's economic competitiveness by increasing human resources when they return to their home country.
